Web Design Trends of 2025

by John Scipione | Nov 25, 2025 | Web Design | 0 comments

Dark Mode

Everybody loves dark mode websites. Besides the aesthetics, dark mode has other benefits including improved battery life for devices and reduced eye strain for users. Whatever the reason, people love dark mode and want more of it. Continuing on from 2024 dark mode has become one of the most requested feature enhancements of 2025.

Advanced Typography

Big fonts and eye-catching typography are in style. Animated lettering and full-spectrum colored text styles are in. Convey a lot of information with a little bit of text with creative use of typography. Gone are the days of boring paragraphs of text, in are large snippets that showcase your content.

Variable fonts allow for smooth transitions across devices and contexts dynamically adjusting based on screen size and user preferences. Typography has become more interactive with text elements responding to scrolling and hovering to capture user attention.

Animations and Parallax Scroll Effects

A bit of animation and scroll effects can enhance and otherwise boring site and make it feel alive. While a bit of taste is required to prevent going overboard a bit of animation and scroll effects can enhance your website experience. Parallel scrolling is still in style and adds a bit of depth to your website. Smooth scrolling like on iOS and Android are in. A few carefully placed animations give your site a polished design.

High Contrast

Dark mode with neon colors is the trend for 2025. By combining high contrast with a bold futuristic aesthetic on a dark background you can improve readability while adding a modern feel. Dark mode along neon colors make interfaces feel both immersive and easy on the eyes.

Electric blue, neon green, electric yellow and burnt orange bring warmth and energy to web designs in 2025.

Bold Minimalism

Logo design trends in 2025 show an emphasis on simplicity and personality. Minimalist designs keeps logos clean and modern while adding an element that grabs attention. Brands are moving to more and more letter-based logos with typography will take center stage. Custom typefaces, unique ligatures and abstract designs make logos stand out.
Through the quiet sophistication of minimalism or the bold vibrancy of maximalism these design extremes craft memorable web sites that elucidate their unique vision.

Negative Space

Simplicity and minimalism are key giving text, images and design elements room to breathe enhancing focus. Big margins, padding and line spacing create visual separation between sections without overwhelming the viewer. In 2025 different font sizes and weights are used to guide the visitor’s eye. Negative space helps create a more intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user experience by reducing distractions and clutter. A lot of negative spaces gives the feeling of high end product or service.

AI-Generated Images and Videos

AI has undeniably changed the landscape for creating custom images and in 2025 videos too. Love them or hate them AI-generated images and videos are everywhere, showing a clear trend. AI is not good enough to replace a talented designer but it is being used because it is cheap and available. A few AI generated images can spice up an otherwise bland website. They are ubiquitous and I expect this trend to continue into 2026.
